School Safety Monitor by E-2 Unlimited Technologies helps schools keep students safe on school-managed Chrome browsers and Chromebooks. This extension is intended to be installed by a school's IT administrator through the Google Admin console. It is not intended for personal use. What it does: • Records browsing activity on school-managed browsers: page titles, URLs, and time spent on each tab. • Records text that students type or paste into web pages (e.g. documents, chat, email, search boxes) so that school safety staff can identify signs of self-harm, bullying, threats, or other safety concerns. • Associates activity with the student's signed-in school Chrome profile (account email). • Securely sends this information over HTTPS to the school's E-2 safety monitoring service, where it is available only to authorized school staff. What it does not do: • It never captures passwords or password fields. • It does not read the contents of uploaded files (only file names). • It does not run in incognito mode. • It does not sell data or use it for advertising.
