Narrow Google Search Result

Overview
Narrow Google results to your languages, region or a time range, from the toolbar or the right-click menu.
Google often mixes results in languages you don't read, or from countries you don't care about. Its Advanced Search can filter both, but it takes a trip to another page every time. This extension puts those filters one click away. How to use it: - On a Google results page, click the toolbar button and pick a language, a region or a time range. The search runs again straight away. Pick the same button again to take that filter off. - "Web results only" leaves out the AI Overview and the other boxes, and "Verbatim" searches for your exact words. - Or right-click the results page and choose "Only results in Japanese", "Only results from Japan" or both, named after your own language and region. - Press Alt+Shift+L (Option+Shift+L on a Mac) to turn your first language on and off. - On any other page, the toolbar button opens a search box that searches Google with the filters you pick. It starts from the languages your browser is set to, so there is nothing to set up. Add, remove or reorder languages and regions on the options page. It works on every Google country site, such as google.co.jp and google.de, not only google.com. The search runs again with Google's own filters (the lr, cr and tbs parameters, the same ones Advanced Search and the Tools menu set). Your search words and other settings stay as they were, and choosing again replaces the earlier filter instead of stacking a second one. Privacy: the extension sends nothing anywhere. It changes the address of the results page you're on, and a search you type into the popup goes to Google like any other search. Your languages and regions are kept in Chrome's storage, which Chrome syncs to your other computers if you have sync turned on. Change log: - v1.2.0: a toolbar popup with language, region and time filters, plus "Web results only" and "Verbatim". Several languages and regions instead of one, starting from your browser's. A keyboard shortcut. The popup, menu and options come in nine languages. Works on every Google country site, not only google.com. - v1.1.0 @ 2026-10-25: rebuilt for Manifest V3, so it keeps working in current Chrome. The menu now also shows when you right-click a result link, and the options page shows what you picked.
