Overview

Flags likely ghost job postings on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter, with a score and the reasons why.

Ghost Job Detector helps you avoid applying to job postings that aren't real openings. When you open a job on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or ZipRecruiter, it scores the posting and shows a banner explaining why it might be a ghost job. It checks for: Postings that have been up 30, 60 or 90+ days, or have been reposted "Talent pool", "future opportunities" and other resume-collecting language Statements that no vacancy exists or the role won't be filled soon Missing or unusually wide pay ranges Vague descriptions with no team or hiring manager named Jobs you've seen before that are still being advertised Good signs, like a recent post date or "Actively reviewing applicants", lower the score. Click the toolbar icon to see the full breakdown, or choose when the banner appears. Your privacy: nothing leaves your browser. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection.
