Fine Zoom

Fine-grained per-site zoom control. Persists per domain across reloads and restarts, like Chrome's built-in zoom.

Fine Zoom gives you precise control over page zoom — the in-between levels Chrome's built-in zoom skips right past. Chrome's native zoom jumps in coarse steps (100% → 110% → 125%). Fine Zoom lets you land exactly where you want: nudge by 1%, 2%, 5%, or 10%, or type an exact percentage. ▍FEATURES • Step zoom in/out in 1%, 2%, 5%, or 10% increments — your choice • Type an exact percentage, or adjust it with the ↑/↓ arrow keys • Quick presets: 50%, 75%, 90%, 100%, 110%, 125%, 150% • One-click reset to 100% • Keyboard shortcuts — Ctrl+Up to zoom in, Ctrl+Down to zoom out (5% each), fully remappable from a link in the popup • Clean popup with automatic light and dark themes ▍PERSISTS PER SITE Zoom levels stick to the domain across reloads, new tabs, and browser restarts — exactly like Chrome's native zoom. Set a hard-to-read site to 115% once and it stays there. ▍PRIVACY FIRST Fine Zoom requests only the "activeTab" permission. It: • Never injects scripts into web pages • Never reads or modifies page content • Makes no network requests • Collects zero data It works entirely through Chrome's own zoom API, which only touches the tab you actively click on. Most zoom extensions demand "read and change all your data on all websites" — Fine Zoom does the same job without it. ▍NOTES Chrome blocks zoom on restricted pages (chrome://, the Web Store, view-source:). On those, the popup will say so. Keyboard shortcuts can be customized at any time via the "Customize keyboard shortcuts" link in the popup. Open source under the MIT license.
