Overview

Turn one HTTP proxy on and off, with no password prompts.

Proxynator puts your proxies one click away. Connect to a proxy from the toolbar, see the exit IP the world sees, switch to another in seconds, and never type a proxy password again. WHY PEOPLE USE IT • One click, no password prompts. Your proxy login is stored in the extension and supplied for you, so the browser’s login dialog never appears. • See your exit IP. After connecting, the popup shows the address and country your traffic leaves from, and tells you plainly when the proxy refused the login, cannot be reached, or another extension is controlling the proxy. • Paste any format. host:port:user:pass, user:pass@host:port, http://user:pass@host:port, socks5://host:port, socks4://host:port, or a dashboard code. One proxy per line, mix formats freely, and lines that do not parse are flagged instead of silently dropped. • Every proxy in one list. Search by name, filter by source, sort any column, see days-left badges before a proxy expires, and connect from any row or from the popup. • Your dashboards fill the list. Sign in to a supported proxy dashboard in this browser and Proxynator can import that account’s proxies, from several providers and accounts at once, and keep them fresh with a background sync. ROUTE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT • One proxy for every site, with a bypass list for the sites that should go direct. • Allow only: use the proxy just for the sites you list. • Per site: a different proxy for each pattern, such as *.news.example. The first matching rule wins, and everything else goes direct or through a default. • PAC script: bring your own auto-config script, by URL or pasted in. • Bypass the current site in one click from the popup. STAY SAFE • WebRTC leak protection (optional): stops the browser exposing your real IP address while a proxy is on. • Block traffic if the proxy fails: a rejected login or an unreachable proxy loads nothing, instead of quietly going direct. • Kill switch: block all browser traffic right now with one toggle or Alt+Shift+K. • Reload tabs when the proxy changes (optional), so open pages load through the new route. BUILT FOR DAILY USE • Alt+Shift+P connects to your last proxy, or disconnects. • In the popup, press / to search and Enter to connect to the first match. • Light, dark, or follow your system. • Back up your proxies and settings to a file and restore them later. PRIVACY No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no Proxynator account. Nothing is sent anywhere you did not configure. Your proxies, logins and settings stay on this device. If you link a dashboard account, the extension keeps that account’s session token on this device until you unlink it. That token has the same reach as your signed-in dashboard session, and Unlink removes it. WHY IT ASKS FOR PERMISSIONS • proxy: set the browser’s proxy to the one you connect. • webRequest and webRequestAuthProvider: answer the proxy’s login challenge with your stored credentials, so no dialog appears. • storage: keep your proxies, settings and links on this device. • alarms: run the optional periodic refresh of your proxy list. • scripting: when you press Import from this tab, read your signed-in session from that dashboard tab. • Access to all sites: the proxy has to apply to every site you visit, and the proxy and dashboard hosts are not known in advance. Page content is not read. • Optional, asked only when you use the feature: privacy (WebRTC leak protection), browsingData (clear a proxy’s stale login cookie after a refused login), identity (one-click dashboard sign-in). GOOD TO KNOW • Proxynator routes your browser through proxies you bring. It does not include any. • In Chrome, HTTP proxies support a login. SOCKS proxies work without one. • To cover Incognito windows, turn on “Allow in Incognito” for Proxynator on the extensions page. Otherwise a site opened there can ask for a proxy password.
