Show the part that matters. Dossier Shotlane captures screenshots and short recordings, ready to download or share as a link. RECORD YOUR WORKFLOW • Record a whole Chrome tab, an area of the current page, or an entire screen or application window. • For a page area, drag directly on the live page. Move or resize the selection, then choose Record Video. Only that rectangle is included in the video. • For a screen or window, choose the whole source in Chrome’s sharing dialog. • Choose 720p for smaller files or 1080p for sharper video. • Include tab/source audio and optional microphone narration. Audio availability depends on Chrome and your operating system. Source audio covers the whole source, including sound outside a selected page area. • Add an optional, movable camera bubble to whole-tab or page-area recordings. Camera and microphone are off by default and request permission when selected. Turn the camera off while continuing to record. • Start after a cancellable 3–2–1 countdown. Pause, resume, stop or discard with compact controls. • Record up to 3 minutes or 50 MB, whichever comes first. TRIM, DOWNLOAD, SHARE • Preview your recording, then choose Edit to trim its start and end locally in your browser. • Create a trimmed copy while keeping the original available in the open preview. • Download a WebM without signing in, or choose Share recording to upload and get a link. • Shared video links open a player; viewers do not need an account. SCREENSHOTS, TOO • Capture the visible page or select a region. • Add arrows, boxes and text, then crop the screenshot. • Download a PNG locally or choose Copy link to upload and share. • Set your own region-screenshot shortcut through Settings → Keyboard shortcuts. YOU CONTROL SHARING • Nothing uploads until you choose Copy link or Share recording. • Camera images and enabled audio are included in the recording you share. • Links are unlisted. Anyone with a link can view the capture, so share it carefully. • The source page title and address are not displayed on the public share page. • Delete an upload from your account to disable its share page and remove the stored media. • Download or share before closing a preview: unsaved captures are removed when their editor or controls window closes or the browser session ends. Sign in with Google to share and manage uploads. A free account includes 10 uploads; each shared screenshot or recording counts once, and deleting one does not restore its allowance.
