Overview
Detect, hide, and report spam or bot comments on YouTube using blocklist and community reporting.
SpamBlocker for YouTube hides spam and bot comments on YouTube so you can read the real ones. What it does • Hides scam and bot comments automatically: known scam coin names, fake accounts posing as the creator, WhatsApp and Telegram bait, crypto seed-phrase bait, fake trading-bot channels, gambling ads, and text disguised with lookalike letters. • Lets you block any word or name. Add a keyword and every comment containing it is blurred or hidden. • Keeps its list of known scam names up to date by itself, so new scams are blocked without waiting for an update. • Hide a person: one click hides everything a troll or bot writes, on every video and in Shorts. • Adds a "Report Spam" button under comments: report spam and scams to improve detection for everyone, or just hide a comment for yourself. • Blur or hide: choose whether spam is blurred (hover to peek) or removed from view. • Shows how many spam comments were hidden on the page and in total. Works on regular videos and Shorts, in light and dark themes. Privacy • Comments are checked on your own device. Comments you read are not uploaded. • Data is sent only when you add a keyword, report a comment as spam, mark a comment as not spam, or send feedback. People and comments you hide just for yourself stay on your device. • No account, no ads, no tracking of what you watch. • The feedback form has an optional email field, used only to reply to you. Full policy: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W2A4vZrKqb5DoGid30Si7AgMmq2-8iP9qmpDHKmAXqc New in 1.5.0 • Hides staged "investment advisor" threads as a whole: when several accounts praise the same "Mrs" or "expert", post profit stories and ask how to contact her, their replies are hidden even if no single comment gives it away. Real questions and warnings in the thread stay visible. • Hides more fake "trading bot" channel promotions. New in 1.4.0 • Hides crypto "seed phrase" bait: comments that post a wallet's 12 recovery words and ask how to move the coins. The wallet is a trap that steals the fee you pay. • Hides gambling ads that write their brand in fancy letters with numbers (like ℙℝ𝕆𝔹𝔼𝕋855). • Hides promotions for fake "trading bot" channels (like "=RoxMinerBOT" or "$GeorgeSmithETH"). • The most harmful scams now come with a one-line safety tip under the reason, so a hidden comment also teaches what to watch out for. • Catches more staged "investment advisor" threads, while replies warning that a thread is a scam now stay visible. • Fixed: when bots copied a popular comment, the original could be hidden along with the copies. New in 1.3.0 • "Hide person": hover any comment and click "Hide person" to hide everything that person writes, on every video and in Shorts. Undo right away, or manage the list in the popup. Saved on your device only. • "Report Spam" now asks why: "Spam or scam" helps improve detection for everyone; "Just hide it" hides the comment for you and sends nothing. • Fixed: "Total Blocked" counted the same comments again each time a page was reloaded. • Fixed: comments made only of emoji or stickers had no Report button. • Fixed: in dark mode the "Not spam" button was hard to read, and on light YouTube a hidden comment turned dark red when you hovered over it. New in 1.2.0 • The list of known scam names now updates by itself, about once a day. • "UTTP" troll-raid comments are now hidden for everyone. • Hides comments that bots copy and repost from several accounts, and gambling ads written in boxed letters. • Hides staged investment threads: fake "I invested $1,000 and got $9,000" stories and replies sending you to a "coach" on Telegram or WhatsApp. • Every hidden comment now shows a short line saying why it was hidden. • Block by pattern (regex): choose "Pattern" in the popup, with ready-made examples for beginners. • Removed the Community Keywords list from the popup: confirmed scam names are now blocked for you automatically, so there is nothing to click. • Fixed: some Greek comments and comments containing "awsome" were wrongly hidden. New in 1.1.0 • Hides fake accounts posing as the channel owner, and "message me on WhatsApp/Telegram" scam replies. • Known scam coin names are now hidden for everyone without any setup. • New on/off switch in the popup. • The Report Spam button now appears only when you hover over a comment. • New "Not spam" button on hidden comments: one click shows the comment and helps us fix mistakes. • Reporting one reply no longer hides the whole thread. • Short keywords now match whole words only, so blocking "bot" no longer hides "both". • Fixed: marks sometimes landed on the wrong comments after re-sorting.
