ChatGPT wrote the answer. Make it yours. Long replies bury the useful sentence. Advice does not always fit your situation. Unfamiliar terms turn into a repetitive copy-and-paste chore. ChatGPT Marker adds highlights, margin notes, collected questions and PDF export to the ChatGPT website, so you can keep your own thinking alongside the conversation. HIGHLIGHT WHAT MATTERS Keep the sentence you want to remember, not just another saved chat. Select text and highlight it in yellow, green, blue or pink. Return to your saved conversation to find your marks again. Example: A long Python learning plan says, “Start by saving a single transaction.” Highlight that one practical next step. LEAVE YOUR THOUGHTS BESIDE THE SOURCE Add a note when you disagree, need clarification or have an idea. Notes sit beside the conversation and can collapse to a single line. Numbered links connect the quoted text to its note. Example: The answer suggests three hours of study every day. Add: “I only have 30 minutes. Can we make the plan smaller?” COLLECT QUESTIONS WITHOUT REPEATED COPYING Select quotes and notes with checkboxes, or select a color group. Copy one item or several together in a consistent format. Use the separate Add to draft button to put selected items into ChatGPT’s message box, ready for you to review and send. Example: Mark “minimal working example” and “edge cases,” add your questions, then collect both into one follow-up. Nothing is sent automatically. EXPORT THE ANSWER AND YOUR NOTES TO PDF Export the loaded conversation from Marker’s settings, or export a single reply from its Share dialog. The export preview preserves highlights, complete notes, mathematical formulas, code, tables and source links. Use your browser’s Save as PDF to save the document. LOCAL BY DESIGN Your marks and notes are stored locally in your browser. ChatGPT Marker does not send them to a developer server and does not include analytics or tracking. It works on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. Normal ChatGPT activity and original image loading remain subject to those services. BEFORE YOU START Use a saved or shared conversation to keep marks. For a long PDF, scroll up to load the messages you want to include before exporting. Marks do not automatically sync between browsers or devices; use backup and restore to transfer them.
