DataLens
Overview
Parse and visualize XML, JSON, and YAML on web pages.
DataLens helps you read structured data where it already appears—in the browser. When a page exposes XML, JSON, or YAML (embedded snippets, API payloads, config blocks, or documentation examples), DataLens parses what you point at and turns it into a clear, navigable view instead of a wall of text. Why install DataLens? • Faster troubleshooting: expand/collapse trees, scan keys and values, and compare shapes without copying everything into another tool. • Stays in your workflow: open the side panel or DevTools integration alongside the page you are inspecting. • Multiple perspectives: switch between tree, table-style layouts, and raw text when you need precision or a quick overview. • Hover-aware cues where supported: discover structured blocks without hunting through the DOM by hand. • Privacy-minded defaults: parsing and visualization run locally on your device as you use the extension—there is no account login required for core functionality. Optional capabilities (where enabled in settings): local AI-assisted interpretation runs with bundled/on-device pathways described in the privacy policy; advanced integrations such as native messaging are strictly opt-in. Whether you debug APIs, review configs, or learn from examples on the web, DataLens keeps structured data legible so you can focus on the actual problem—not on reformatting text.
