Data Layer Validator shows what a page sends to your marketing stack, as it happens, and checks it against the rules your team agreed on. Everything is processed in your browser. It captures, from the first request of the page: - Google dataLayer - Adobe Client Data Layer - Adobe Web SDK, including a datastream served from your own domain - Adobe AppMeasurement - The Adobe Launch rules that run, with their outcome and what stopped them - The requests the page sends to the advertising and analytics vendors it has installed, told apart by the shape of their address, with the event each one carries With Data Layer Validator you can: - read a live timeline of events, with each payload as a table you can search by name, path or value - see which Launch rule sent a request and which rules prepared its data - load your rules as a JSON file, or start from a template for GA4, Adobe Web SDK or the Adobe Client Data Layer - get a verdict per event — correct, warning, error or no rule — and a finding that says what to fix - follow a guided walkthrough that checks a flow step by step, in plain words - keep a local history per site, and switch between this tab and the site's history - group by page title or address, and export what is on screen as JSON or CSV - see how much is stored on your device, and delete it whenever you want Free - Live capture of everything above - Rules from your own JSON file, or the three built-in templates - Verdicts, findings and the Guide - Local history per site, with search, filters and grouping - JSON and CSV export Premium — one license per browser - Projects: rules saved by name, per site - Runs: record a flow from the first page to the checkout and see which rules it covered - Compare two runs, rule by rule - The report of a run: a Ready or Not ready verdict and what to fix first, in an executive, analytics or engineering view, as one self-contained HTML file ready to print to PDF, plus the findings as CSV and JSON Privacy Captured data is processed in your browser and stays on your device. The extension makes no request to the sites you audit and sends none of their content anywhere. The only request it makes on its own is to validate a license key, when you activate or refresh Premium. It records on every site you visit, even with the panel closed, and keeps up to 5,000 rows (page address without query string, title, time and the captured data) on your device until you delete them, from the Events tab under More or from Settings.
