Dashport
Overview
Third-party extension to import and export Grafana dashboard JSON directly in the browser for preview purposes.
Dashport adds the missing "import" half of Grafana's dashboard-as-code workflow. Grafana lets you export a dashboard's JSON model, but has no built-in way to load edited JSON back into an editing session. Dashport fills that gap. This is an unofficial, third-party extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Grafana Labs. What you can do: - Export the current dashboard's JSON — download it as a file or copy it to the clipboard. - Import JSON back into Grafana — drag and drop a file, use the file picker, or paste. The page reloads with your dashboard ready to review and save. Typical workflow: 1. Export a dashboard's JSON. 2. Edit it, commit it to your repo, or just stash it for later. 3. Import it back in, then enter edit mode and save to persist your changes. Dashport accepts both the raw dashboard model and the full API response format. How it works: Dashport operates at the network layer, intercepting Grafana's internal dashboard API call and substituting your JSON on reload — so there are no race conditions with Grafana's own scripts.
