dashi turns the new tab into something worth glancing at. Notes, to-dos, weather, world clock, habits, countdowns, reminders, a reading list, crypto and stock watchlists, a Pomodoro timer, developer tools, and a calculator that does percentages, compound growth and unit conversion. Drag them anywhere, size them however you like, and keep as many pages of them as you want. Private by design. No account. No analytics. No servers. Everything you type stays on your device, and the permissions are listed in plain language at trydashi.app/privacy. It follows the day. The background is a living sky that shifts from dawn to night, and theme packs change the whole mood — Golden Hour, Sakura, Matcha, Tide, Nocturne, Minimal, High Contrast. It helps on every page, not just the new tab. Click the toolbar icon to capture a thought without leaving what you're reading: plain text becomes a note, a leading "-" makes it a to-do, and "call mom 5pm" becomes a reminder. Save the page for later, get reminded about it, pin it to your quick links, or flip Keep Awake, Focus and Pomodoro. Float note opens a small always-on-top window that stays up while you work. It's small. The whole extension is under 180KB — smaller than a single photo — and widgets load only when you use them. Free, and there's nothing to sign up for.
