Darkly for Gmail adds a beautiful dark mode to Gmail that goes beyond simple color inversion. A paid subscription is required to use dark mode features. SUBSCRIPTION FEATURES All of the following features require an active subscription. - Dark mode controls: Click the Darkly icon in Gmail's toolbar to open a mini-panel with dark mode controls - Automatic scheduling: Set dark mode to activate and deactivate on a schedule - Sunrise/sunset sync: Automatically follow your local daylight hours - OS theme sync: Match your system's light/dark preference - Settings panel inside Gmail: No separate options page; everything is accessible from within Gmail - Smooth transitions: No jarring flashes when switching modes - Gmail-specific overrides: Carefully tuned for Gmail's interface including compose windows, popovers, and settings SUBSCRIPTION All features require a paid subscription. After installing, you can view subscription options and choose a plan that works for you. Plans start at $0.99/month, with yearly and lifetime options available. You'll sign in with your Google account to verify your email, then complete checkout securely through Stripe. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from within the extension's settings. HOW IT WORKS After installing, a subscription page opens at gmaildarkly.com where you can choose a plan. Sign in with your Google account to verify your email, then complete checkout securely through Stripe. Once subscribed, navigate to Gmail to start using dark mode. You may need to refresh Gmail to see the Darkly button appear in Gmail's toolbar. Click the Darkly toggle in Gmail's toolbar to open the mini-panel to control the dark mode setting or open the "All Settings" panel using the button in the right rail in Gmail to configure more settings. Your preferences sync across your desktop Chrome browsers using Chrome's built-in sync. PRIVACY Darkly for Gmail does not read your emails, collect personal data, or send analytics. Your preferences are stored locally using Chrome's storage API. An anonymous device token is used to verify your subscription status. No personal information is transmitted.
