Dark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes, use dark theme for night and daily browsing.

This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colors, making them high contrast and easy to read at night. You can adjust the brightness, contrast, sepia filter, dark mode, font settings and the ignore-list. We may ask you to support the development of the app with a donation. You may see news about Dark Reader in the settings popup. There are Developer Tools for experienced users. Dark Reader doesn't show ads and doesn't send users' data anywhere. It's fully open-source: https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader Before you install it, disable similar extensions. Enjoy watching!

Nice extension. Dark Mode Toggle Per Site works better because you can enable dark mode only on certain websites.

I’m very disappointed and frustrated with this extension. I’ve been a fan for years, but it has completely disrupted a project I’ve been developing for months. Initially, I thought the framework I was using was slow and buggy, but after some investigation, I discovered that Dark Reader was the cause. This significantly delayed my work and compromised my tasks. While switching back to white pages feels a bit strange, I can’t recommend Dark Reader anymore after this experience, and I won’t be u... Hi André, Could you please share a link to the website that works slow with Dark Reader? The performance is our key focus. Dark Reader works smoothly with resource intensive websites like Gmail and YouTube, and it's important to actually see the reason of the slow down. I'm sorry to hear it took you several months to determine the cause while developing your web application.
