Overview

Inverts page colors, showing white text on a dark background

Inverts page colors, showing white text on a dark background, to reduce eye strain. Works especially well for people working during the night or in low light environments. Click the button in the icon bar to switch between the supported modes: * Mode 1 (default): invert colors and reduce contrast * Mode 2: invert colors, normal (high) contrast * Mode 3: reduce contrast only * Mode 4: disabled * Mode 5: inverts colors of text and images (useful for pages containing diagrams with text, but not photos). The settings are saved separately for each website. Right click the button to access the Options page, where you can change the default mode (for all pages). License: GNU GPLv2. Privacy: this extension respects your privacy; it does not upload any data whatsoever to the Internet. The only setting that is synced via Chrome sync is the default page mode setting; the per-website settings are stored only locally.

Seems to have a bug. Clicking the button doesn't change the mode. However, default mode works.

Rock-solid extension. 5 modes to switch from with just a click. Never fails to blacken any website, unlike other extensions. It does invert photo and video colors on some sites, though, so you'll have to flip back and forth sometimes. Not a problem for me at all. This is a literal eye saver, so big love from me!
