How to use 1. Click the extension icon in your toolbar. 2. Flip the toggle for Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. 3. Open or switch to a Google editor tab — dark mode appears immediately. Privacy This extension does not collect, sell, or transmit any user data. The only information stored is your on/off preference per app, saved locally and synced to your Google account via Chrome's built-in storage API. The extension only runs on docs.google.com. Notes Because Google Docs renders pages onto a canvas, images inserted inside a Docs page will appear color-inverted when dark mode is on — this is a known limitation of any filter-based dark mode for Google Docs. Photos in Slides (which use standard image elements) render with their original colors. Compatible with the latest versions of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
