Archive danmaku from where it lives. Replay it on any HTML5 video.

Danmaku normally only lives on the site that hosts it. An episode leaves the catalogue or goes behind a paywall and its comments go with it; watch the same episode on another platform and there is nothing at all. Danmaku Ninja keeps the comment track on your own machine and replays it over the video on any web page. ■ WHAT DANMAKU NINJA DOES ・Archive 　Visiting the source saves that episode's comments to your machine. Whole series, current episode, episode list only, or fully manual — your call, and it does nothing behind your back. ・Replay 　Watching the same episode elsewhere, point at the video on screen, say which episode it is, and the comments start flying over it. You point at it inspector-style, so it does not depend on any particular site's layout. ・Restore 　Name the sites you watch on. Bound players come back by themselves when you open the page. ・Offset 　Sponsor spots, ad breaks and differing masters push the timing out. Nudge it forward or back with a keystroke; once it is right it is remembered. ■ DISPLAY ・Comment size scales with the player — a small window and fullscreen both look right ・Scroll speed, opacity and font size, with a live preview ・A safe area, keeping the bottom of the frame for subtitles ・Three text shadows: soft glow, heavy glow, hard outline ・A font per writing system (Traditional / Simplified / Japanese). The same character is drawn with different strokes in each — not a matter of picking another typeface ・One key to hide them all (B by default) ■ SOURCES ・Bahamut ani-gamer ・bilibili (experimental) ・Niconico (experimental) Each is allowed separately. A source you have not turned on is one this extension neither reads nor connects to. ■ PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY ・No site permissions at install. You are asked one at a time, when you turn on a source or name a site you watch on ・Everything stays in your own browser. Nothing uploaded, no analytics, no tracking, no account ・The only outbound connections are each source's public endpoints; if you pick a comment font your system does not have, it is downloaded from Google Fonts once and kept locally ・No remote code is executed For personal archiving only. It does not download video and does not republish comments. ■ WHAT'S NEW 1.1.0 ・Reflect, on ani-gamer: this extension draws the site's own danmaku instead. Canvas rendering, which clears up the stutter and CPU load ani-gamer's comments are known for, and brings the display options with it.
