Flex & Nav for Gemini
Overview
Optimize Gemini web experience: adjustable sidebar width and timeline navigation.
Flex & Nav for Gemini helps you work faster on gemini.google.com with a resizable sidebar and a timeline rail for long chats. The UI stays light, compact, and aligned with Google’s familiar blue accent so it feels native to Gemini. What it does 1. Flexible sidebar width Drag the slim handle at the edge of the sidebar to widen or narrow the chat area. Double‑click the handle to reset the width. Your preference is remembered for next time. 2. Timeline navigation (user messages) In long threads, a vertical dot rail lists your own prompts so you can jump to any turn in one click. The highlighted dot shows where you are in the conversation. When you open or refresh the page, focus starts on the latest user turn so the active dot sits at the bottom of the rail when possible. 3. Move and reset the timeline Drag the grip on the timeline pill to reposition it on screen. Placement is saved. Open the extension popup and use Reset timeline position to restore the default spot. 4. Mark important turns Right‑click a dot to mark or unmark that user message. Marked dots are visually distinct so you can spot key points quickly. Permissions & data The extension only runs on gemini.google.com. It uses storage to save your toggles, sidebar/timeline preferences, and marked turns. Data stays in your browser / Chrome sync according to your account settings; we do not operate a separate server for this extension. Tips Use the popup to turn Sidebar Resize and Timeline Nav on or off. The popup also shows the current version number.
