Stop guessing whether your CV is right for the job. CV Plugin reads the job description on any job board (such as Linkedin, Naukri.com, Glassdoor, etc.) and compares it against your CV using AI. You get a match score, a breakdown of exactly where you stand, and a clear list of the skills you're missing for that specific role. HOW IT WORKS 1. Upload your CV once. It is saved locally in your browser for convenience. 2. Open any job listing in your browser. 3. Click the CV Plugin icon and hit "Analyze Match." 4. The extension sends your CV text and the visible job description text to our API for AI analysis, then shows your score, strengths, missing skills, seniority fit, and domain alignment. WHAT YOU GET • Match score (0–100) with a plain-English verdict (for example: Well-matched, Stretch, Underqualified, Role mismatch) • Skill gap analysis — the exact skills and requirements from the JD that your CV appears to miss • Seniority and domain fit — whether your experience level and industry background match what the role needs • Role family detection — flags mismatches like a Product Manager CV against a Software Engineer JD, not just keyword overlap • Reasoning summary — a plain-language explanation of why you scored the way you did YOUR PRIVACY • When you click "Analyze Match," your CV text and the current job description text are sent securely to `api.cvplugin.com` for processing. • We do not permanently store CV text or JD text in our database. • Analysis uses an LLM provider (currently Mistral). Data is processed only to return your result. • Anonymous, pseudonymous analytics (PostHog, EU servers) help us improve the product. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED • Storage: saves your CV text locally in your browser so you do not have to re-upload it each time. • Active Tab + Scripting: reads the visible job description text only when you click "Analyze Match." Nothing is read passively or in the background. • Side Panel: displays the CV Plugin interface in Chrome's built-in side panel, alongside the job listing. CV Plugin is free to use with no account required.
