Cutspace

Cut live regions from browser tabs and arrange them together on a spatial working surface.

Cutspace turns visible parts of ordinary web pages into live, movable fragments. Click the toolbar button on a source tab, drag around the region you want, and Cutspace opens its spatial studio with that exact region playing as a live crop. Collect status panels, timers, charts, video regions, dashboards, reference material, or any other visible source into a single working surface without copying their text or replacing them with static screenshots. Each fragment can be moved, resized, rotated, frozen temporarily, tidied into a grid, or removed. Multiple regions from the same captured tab reuse one media stream rather than duplicating capture work. A structural anchor follows the selected page element as it moves or the source page scrolls. When a source stream ends, its fragments become clearly marked dormant placeholders instead of silently displaying stale content. Remote Touch is an explicit per-fragment mode. When enabled, a click or wheel gesture on the crop is mapped back to the corresponding coordinates in the original tab through Chrome's debugging transport. Remote Touch is off by default, straightens the fragment to preserve coordinate accuracy, displays an amber armed state, and detaches from the source when disabled or when the last fragment is removed. The desk stores names, source URLs and titles, crop rectangles, viewport measurements, anchor identifiers, positions, sizes, and rotations in local Chrome storage. Live media streams and frozen canvas pixels are memory-only. After a browser restart, saved fragments return as dormant layout references and must be captured again. Export Still creates a PNG locally from currently connected fragments after the user presses the export control. Cutspace does not run analytics, load remote code, send page information to a server, or capture tab audio. All stream processing and composition occur locally in Chrome.
