Custom New Tab Background

don't let this extension disappear in chrome... we terribly do need this

Would be nice if you could customize the tab icon and name (to rename it to something like 'New Tab' for example).

I needed this to get rid of the wallpaper that came with the theme, which I installed for tab and top bar colors. Unfortunately this extension also removes bookmarks bar from new tab, and I need the bar only on new tabs, so this extension isn't a good fit for me.

- 5 mb isn't much for a PNG - It removes buttons from the new tab, so you can't just click on usual websites you go to from New Page with this extension.

easy to use, fast, holds its word

It allows you to add a wallpaper to chrome it also removes the Dreaded Google Doodle, which is a plus, however googles normal search bar disappears so you have to use the search bar at the top of the page instead.

Absolutely brilliant. Does what it says on the tin.

It's fantastic. I need this only because I don't want my chrome search bar o my screen. But one quick question: does my wallpaper images seriously need a url that is like 5000 letters? I don't get it!

It's so simple, clean, and helpful. This extension rocks.
