CUST Odoo Pro

An extension that enhances the Odoo CUST website with advanced features. Developed by Logical Hammad.

Odoo Pro is an extension that improves the Odoo CUST portal by adding helpful features to make student life easier. It is developed by Nelston Technologies and is now available on the Chrome Web Store. One of the key features of Odoo Pro is the attendance display on the home page. Instead of manually checking and calculating absences, students can now see their attendance status at a glance. The system uses color codes to indicate the level of risk, green for safe (fewer than 7 absences for a 3-credit-hour course), orange for fine/penalty (6 to 9 absences), and red for nearing withdrawal (more than 9 absences). To make navigation faster, Odoo Pro introduces quick access buttons. These buttons let users skip unnecessary steps and open important pages instantly. Additionally, automatic logout has been removed. It will logout only if you log in on another device. This will prove to be beneficial in crucial tasks like assignments submission on last minute and exam preparations. Viewing marks is now more convenient, as Odoo Pro consolidates all subject marks onto a single page. This removes the hassle of navigating through multiple pages to check grades. The timetable and results are also accessible directly from the home page, making it easier for students to keep track of their schedules and academic progress. A built-in GPA calculator is another useful feature. The extension automatically detects subject names, credit hours, and CGPA. Students only need to select their expected grades, and the calculator will instantly compute their GPA and CGPA. For personalization, users can also set a custom profile picture using Gravatar. By entering their email in the extension popup and uploading a profile picture on Gravatar, their profile image will be updated on the portal. Other enhancements include fixing the missing CUST logo on some pages and introducing an Aura calculation system. Currently, Aura is calculated based on GPA, but future updates will include factors like attendance, credit hours, and semester to provide a more comprehensive assessment. Upcoming features include a dark mode option, a 12-hour time format setting, a GPA hide/show button for privacy, and a redesigned login page for a better user experience. These features are being actively developed to further improve the portal.
