Currency Converter makes it easy to understand prices while browsing international websites. Convert prices directly on webpages using current reference exchange rates for 50 supported currencies. The extension can automatically detect the source currency, or you can select it manually for greater control. Open Currency Converter from the Chrome toolbar. 2. Enable the extension. 3. Keep “AUTO – Detect currency” selected or choose the source currency manually. 4. Select your target currency. 5. Click “Convert all” on the webpage to convert recognized prices. 6. Alternatively, highlight an individual price and use the small “Convert” button. Privacy: Currency detection is performed locally in your browser. Webpage content, highlighted text, prices, visited URLs and browsing history are not collected or transmitted. Only the source and target currency codes required to retrieve exchange rates are sent to the Frankfurter exchange-rate service. Extension preferences may be stored through Chrome Storage Sync, while daily exchange rates are cached locally. Exchange rates: Currency Converter uses daily reference exchange rates provided by Frankfurter. These rates are intended for convenient price comparison and may differ from rates used by banks, card providers, payment services or currency exchanges. Additional fees and exchange-rate margins are not included. Currency Converter is ideal for international shopping, travel research, comparing foreign prices and browsing online stores from other countries.
