View, search, sort, and export CSV and TSV files locally. No uploads or account required.

Open a CSV or TSV file in a full browser tab and inspect its rows without uploading it. CSV Viewer works offline after installation and does not require an account. Choose or drop a UTF-8 file, search across all columns, sort by a column, and move through larger tables one page at a time. Export the complete filtered result as CSV. Automatic separator detection supports common files; choose a comma, semicolon, tab or pipe when needed. Files are processed locally in the viewer tab. The extension has no website access permissions, content scripts, analytics or remote code. Closing or reloading the tab clears the file from memory. Exports are downloads you choose to save. Companion website links open only when clicked, and that website has its own privacy policy. Limits: 20 MB per file, 100,000 data rows and 200 columns, with 100 rows displayed per page. The first non-empty row supplies headings. Files must be UTF-8. Exports prefix spreadsheet formula-like values with an apostrophe. This extension does not edit source files or automatically open browser downloads.
