CryptoPilot · Max History
Overview
TradingView symbol search: your exchanges on top, plus the pair with the longest chart history and confirmed 24h volume.
Type BTCUSD on TradingView and you get a dozen exchanges. Young exchanges cut the history and hide the big market cycles; the oldest ones are sometimes dead. Max History picks the right one for you. What it does • My exchanges: trade on Bybit? Type BTCUSDT or just ETH and Bybit's pair is the first line — even when TradingView hides Bybit inside a collapsed "+10" group. Pick several exchanges and set their order; spot and perpetual (.P) are both shown, the one you prefer first. Enter opens it. If a ticker isn't listed on your exchange, a small "not on Bybit" note tells you so. • Hover any row and click ☆ to add its exchange to My exchanges (★ removes it). • Adds a "Max History" line on top of TradingView's own symbol search (click the ticker or just start typing on the chart): the pair with the longest chart history and confirmed 24h volume — e.g. BITSTAMP:BTCUSD with data since 2011. • Live markets only: the oldest exchange is useless if its chart is a staircase. Max History drops pairs with too little volume compared to the ticker's most liquid market, then checks the last 200 hourly candles of the top three and skips any pair where too many hours are flat or missing. The line tells you why: "since 2011 · $137M 24h · live candles" or "stepped candles — skipped: WEEX". • Press Enter (or click) to open it. Arrow keys still work exactly as before. • Shows history age and 24h volume next to each row; finds the best exchange even inside collapsed groups. • Alt+Shift+S opens a quick search: your exchanges first, then the full ranking. Settings • My exchanges: any number, drag or arrows to reorder; spot or perpetual first; Enter behaviour • Max History line on/off • Live markets: minimum volume as a share of the most liquid pair (default 5%) and in dollars (default $1M, scaled down for small coins); stepped-candle check on/off and its threshold (default 20% flat hours) • Works for crypto, stocks and futures Privacy: no servers, no analytics, no tracking. Uses only public TradingView data from your browser. If TradingView changes something, the extension simply stays silent — the native search keeps working. Not affiliated with TradingView.
