Overview

Your Canvas coursework in Chrome: what's due, what's missing, your grades, and reminders before deadlines.

Canvas tells you what's due if you go looking. Crunch tells you before you have to. WHAT IT DOES • Everything due, in one place. Assignments, quizzes and discussions across every course, in your toolbar instead of six tabs. • Reminders before a deadline, not after. Desktop notifications at the warning times you pick (a day ahead and two hours ahead by default), plus an optional daily summary. A "send a test reminder" button confirms they work without waiting for a real deadline. • Missing work, ranked by what it costs. Not just that something is late, but how much of your grade that specific assignment is actually worth. • A badge that counts what needs doing. Due in the next 24 hours, plus anything already missing. • A week at a glance. A seven day chart of what is due, so you can see which night is the crunch before you plan around it. • On the Canvas pages you already use. A "due this week" panel on your dashboard and a live countdown on any assignment page. MAKE IT YOURS Switch off the sections you don't use and put what you check first at the top. Pick comfortable or compact spacing. Choose which classes show a grade. Dismiss something you have already dealt with, and restore it later from settings if you change your mind. READ-ONLY, ALWAYS It can read your coursework. It cannot submit work, post, unenroll, or change anything in Canvas. It reaches exactly what you can already see when you log in yourself, and nothing more. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR COMPUTER Everything is stored in your browser's local extension storage and used to talk to your school's Canvas directly. There are no servers in between, no analytics and no tracking. There is exactly one exception, and it only happens if you ask for it. Settings has an optional button that sets up a connector so you can ask Claude about your coursework. Pressing it sends your Canvas address and access token to the connector service, which encrypts the token before storing it. The button says so before you press it, the extension works fully without it, and the connection can be deleted from the page it hands back. "Delete everything" in settings removes everything held on your computer at once. SETTING IT UP Pick your school from the list, or paste your Canvas address if it isn't listed. The settings page then links you straight to your own school's Canvas token page and walks you through making one. A token keeps reminders firing whether or not you're logged into Canvas. Riding your existing Canvas login instead is offered as a second option, but it depends on a live Canvas session and is unreliable at schools that use single sign-on. Works with any school on Canvas, including self-hosted installations. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure/Canvas or any school.
