Overview

Ban or timeout a chatter in a channel you moderate, without leaving the Twitch chat you're currently watching.

Cross-Chat Mod lets you ban or timeout a chatter in any Twitch channel you moderate instantly, from whatever chat you're currently watching, without switching tabs. THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES If you moderate a channel, this has happened to you: someone acts up in a completely different streamer's chat, but you're not a mod there — so by the time you copy their name, switch tabs, and ban them from your own channel, they're long gone. Cross-Chat Mod puts a ban/timeout button right next to every chat message, in any Twitch channel, and applies the action to the channel or channels you moderate. HOW IT WORKS - A small shield icon appears next to usernames in any Twitch chat you're watching. - Click it to ban or timeout that person, right there — no tab switching. - Choose exactly which of your moderated channels each action applies to, with a simple toggle for each channel in the extension popup. Select just one, several, or all of them. - Timeout durations from 1 minute up to 1 week, or a permanent ban — one click each. - One click applies the action across every channel you've selected, simultaneously. BUILT ON TWITCH'S OFFICIAL API Every action goes through Twitch's own moderation API, authenticated with your own Twitch login. Cross-Chat Mod never sees or stores your password, and can only ever act on channels Twitch itself confirms you moderate. ONE-TIME SETUP Twitch requires every third-party tool to register its own application before it can act on a user's behalf — the same requirement behind any "Sign in with Google" button. The extension walks you through this the first time, with the redirect URL and instructions built right into the popup. After that, it's one click to connect. PRIVACY Cross-Chat Mod requests only the two Twitch permissions it needs: banning/timing out users, and seeing which channels you moderate. Your login token is stored locally in your browser and is never sent anywhere except Twitch's own servers.
