Browser assistant using Chrome's built-in AI

Croc AI is a private, on-device Chrome side-panel assistant. Talk to it naturally to find things, understand what you are viewing, write better, and get browser tasks done. It uses Gemini Nano (local model included in Chrome), so your data and chat history never leave your device. What can Croc do? Chat, page understanding, and voice Chat naturally: ask a question, have a short follow-up conversation, or ask what Croc can do. Chat context is in memory only and is not saved as a chat history. Ask this page: ask questions about the current page, with temporary page-specific follow-up context. Explain selected text or images: use the Croc context menu to explain highlighted text or an image. Voice input: use the microphone in Croc, or the voice shortcut below. Summarise: summarise supported articles or selected text. Find and use Chrome Find tabs, history, and bookmarks with natural language. Navigate: open websites, Chrome pages, and YouTube searches—for example, watch cat videos. Browser actions: reopen a tab, add the current page to Reading List, capture a screenshot, set reminders, clear history, and more. Accessibility tools: bionic/easy-read mode, high contrast, and browser font-size controls. Write and translate Croc Writer: write or rewrite in editable fields with tone and length controls. Proofread writing: review English writing in an editable field. Translate selected text or whole pages: auto-translate uses one page-level toggle instead of a button after every paragraph. Transliterate Romanised text into your selected script. For example, Roman Hindi to Devanagari. Read aloud: use text-to-speech for selected text, summaries, and explanations.
