One shortcut: Crew screenshots what you're on, matches it to a task you locked in, and checks it off.
Crew Companion is the browser half of Crew — your AI accountability co-founder (meetcrew.app). Every morning you lock in a few real priorities. This extension checks whether you actually did them — instead of taking your word for it. MANUAL CHECK (the default — works immediately, no setup) Click the extension icon, or press Ctrl+Shift+Y (Cmd+Shift+Y on Mac), to check a specific task against whatever page you're currently viewing. It takes one screenshot of that one tab, sends it for a single review, and tells you if it counts. Nothing runs in the background. AUTOMATIC CHECKING (BETA — off by default, opt in from Settings) If you turn this on, Crew Companion reads the TITLE of each page you load and compares it, entirely on your own device, against your locked-in tasks. Nothing leaves your browser at this stage — no screenshot, no network request — unless that page plausibly relates to one of your own tasks. Only then does it take a single screenshot and send it as supporting evidence. Turning this on requires Chrome's own permission prompt (it needs to read page titles broadly, since a task could relate to any site you visit) — that prompt appears only when you explicitly opt in from the extension's Settings page, never automatically. claude.ai and linkedin.com get a slightly sharper version of this same check (a real usage-percentage or sent-message count, not just the page title). WHAT YOU NEED A free Crew account at meetcrew.app and a connector token from Settings → Companion extension inside the app. PRIVACY Screenshots are sent directly to Crew's AI reviewer and are never written to a file anywhere — not on your device, not on our servers.
