Overview
Confirm access to a Credit Karma account and a valid score before Credifi retrieves a bureau report.
Credifi Secure Verification confirms that a user has access to a Credit Karma account in their name and has a valid credit score before Credifi retrieves a separate credit-bureau report. The user does not give Credifi their Credit Karma username or password. The extension uses TLSNotary technology to generate a cryptographic proof of the user’s displayed Credit Karma scores and identity details. It runs only when the user starts verification from Credifi and approves the request. Credifi uses the verified score only for a preliminary screen that determines whether to retrieve a separate paid credit-bureau report and conduct a financial review. The Credit Karma score is not used in Credifi’s later loan underwriting, does not approve or decline credit, and does not determine loan amount, pricing, or terms. The extension itself contains no eligibility threshold or rejection logic. The Credifi server validates the proof and performs the preliminary screening. Credit Karma usernames and passwords are never shared with Credifi. The extension does not collect full browsing history, unrelated Credit Karma pages, or unrelated website data. Powered by the open-source TLSNotary protocol.
