Overview

Snip any on-screen text with offline OCR, plus an upload checklist, drop-off predictor & retention tips for talking head creators.

CreatorSnip is a free tool built for YouTubers, coaches, and talking head video creators who want to spend less time on the small stuff and more time actually making videos. The main feature is a screen text grabber. You know that moment when someone shows a prompt or script on their screen during a tutorial but never puts it in the description? Instead of pausing the video, taking a screenshot, uploading it to ChatGPT and waiting for a response, you just press Ctrl and Shift and X, drag over the text you want, and it copies to your clipboard immediately. One step instead of seven. It works on YouTube, Google Docs, Notion, Twitter, any blog, any website. On top of that there is a pre-upload checklist made specifically for talking head videos. It covers 15 things most creators forget to check before uploading including hook strength, captions, B-roll, pacing, audio quality, CTA and whether the thumbnail actually matches what the video delivers. You get a score out of 15 so you know exactly where you stand before you hit publish. There is also a retention predictor where you enter your video length and it shows you the exact timestamps where viewers are most likely to leave along with a specific fix for each one. It also tells you how much time you are spending editing versus how long a professional editor would take. The last section gives you practical tips on talking head editing. Hooks, jump cuts, B-roll placement, audio levels, endings. Thirty tips total and you can cycle through them whenever you need a fresh idea. It is completely free. No account required. No API keys. Works offline. Built by The Beans Media.
