Overview

Log into AWS IAM Identity Center once, open any account/role in its own isolated Chrome profile window without re-authenticating.

AWS Login Helper makes working across multiple AWS accounts through AWS IAM Identity Center (successor to AWS SSO, still commonly called IIC) fast, secure, and frustration-free. If you use Cloud SSO to manage your infrastructure, you know the pain of re-authenticating or mixing up sessions. Sign into your AWS IAM Identity Center access portal just once. From then on, every AWS account and IAM role you select opens instantly in its own separate, already-authenticated Chrome profile window. How It Works The extension seamlessly integrates into your AWS access portal (awsapps page) by adding a custom link directly next to the standard account role URL. Simply click this newly added link (e.g., "-Isolated (Window)") to instantly open the corresponding account and role session in a fully isolated Chrome window. Say goodbye to re-entering passwords and MFA codes every time you switch roles, and never accidentally execute a command in the wrong AWS environment again. Why teams rely on AWS Login Helper: One AWS Login, Every Account: Click the isolated session link next to any account or IAM role on your AWS access portal and it opens instantly, already signed in. True Session Isolation: Each account and role gets its own dedicated Chrome profile and cookie jar. Cloud SSO sessions never bleed into each other. Session Expiry at a Glance: See exactly how much time is left on your AWS SSO session and active console sessions, right on the page. No Manual Profile Switching: Skip Chrome's built-in profile manager entirely—this extension handles creating, switching, and launching isolated browser profiles for you. Clean Up Anytime: Easily manage and remove old isolated account profiles directly from the extension's options page. Setup Requirements Requires the free AWS Login Helper companion app (a small, per-user installer—no admin rights needed). Download Latest Release: https://github.com/penchala-services-inc/aws-login-helper-chrome/releases/latest Quick setup steps are also available on the extension's options page immediately after installation. Open Source & Security Note 100% open source—nothing hidden. The companion app's entire source code is right in the main repository under native-host/ (there is no separate, closed-source binary being downloaded from anywhere else). No telemetry is collected, and zero data leaves your machine to anywhere other than AWS itself. Review or audit the code yourself before installing: https://github.com/penchala-services-inc/aws-login-helper-chrome
