What Metrics is a live dashboard and recorder for the Whatnot shows you have open. Open a live show and the side panel shows it as it happens. Live — observed sales, revenue, buyers, lots an hour, time since the last sale, and the audience watching right now. Sales — the average lot through the show, the price bands the money came from, bids per lot, and every buyer ranked. Chat — lines a minute, arrivals, who is talking, and the latest of the room beside the numbers. Everything it records is saved to your own What Metrics workspace, where a show becomes a record you can keep: revenue hour by hour, your buyers, and every show you have already run. WHAT IT READS, AND WHEN No page access is granted at install. The extension declares no host permissions and no content scripts. You grant page access yourself, on your own click, and can revoke it at any time from chrome://extensions — which unregisters the reader outright rather than leaving it declared and inert. With recording switched on, while a live show is open in your browser it reads the show's title and category, the audience count once a minute, each lot as it closes with its price and the handle that won it, and each chat line with the handle that wrote it. Switch on the earlier-sales read as well and it asks Whatnot, from the tab you already have open, for that show's own sold list — so opening a show an hour in does not cost you the first hour. It is read-only wherever it reads. It never clicks, bids, posts, messages, enters a giveaway or changes anything on any page, and it never opens a tab of its own. It does not read your Whatnot inbox. It holds no Whatnot password, cookie or token: it does not ask Chrome for the "cookies" permission, and you can check that yourself under chrome://extensions, Details. YOUR DATA Recordings go to one place — your own What Metrics workspace, over HTTPS. Nothing is sold, nothing is sent to an advertiser or an analytics service, and nothing trains a model. Options holds the controls: name this device, choose how long events stay on this computer, delete everything stored locally, or unpair the browser, which revokes its access immediately.
