Cover Me: AI Resume Tailor & Cover Letter Generator

Tailor your resume to any job posting and write a matching cover letter. See your ATS score and missing keywords.

Cover Me reads the job posting you have open and gives you two things: your resume rewritten around that job, and a cover letter written from your real experience. You also get an ATS match score and the keywords you're missing. It's open source, free to start, and unlimited with your own Claude or OpenAI API key. It reads postings on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and many company career pages. Anywhere else, paste the job description. WHAT YOU GET • A tailored version of your experience: bullets, summary and skills rewritten around the posting's keywords. Your job titles, employers and dates stay exactly as they are. • An ATS match score from 0 to 100, plus the skills and keywords the role asks for that you don't show yet. • A letter written for that role and company, with common AI clichés filtered out. • Options: compact to one page, drop bullets that don't fit the role, add a summary. • Add context, like a referral or work that isn't written down, and regenerate. • Edit the letter, copy it, or download either document as a PDF. • History grouped by application, so everything for one role sits together. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install, then sign in with Google or email for a free account, or add your own API key. 2. Upload your resume once as a PDF, DOCX or TXT file. The text is pulled out on your device. 3. Open a job page, click the Cover Me icon, and choose Generate Cover Letter or Tailor Resume to Job. 4. Check the score and the gaps, edit, then copy or download. PRICING • Free account: 10 generations to start, then 5 a week, letters and tailoring combined. • Your own API key: unlimited and free from us. You pay Anthropic or OpenAI for what you use. No account needed. • Pro: $15 a month or $35 every 3 months. Up to 25 generations a day, with every application saved to your online dashboard. Cancel any time. PRIVACY • With your own key, your documents and key stay in your browser, and the key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Your documents go only to the AI provider you chose, never to Cover Me. • With an account, your resume is encrypted at rest and sent to Anthropic only to write each document. It's never sold or used to train AI models. • In every mode, the page you open is sent to our server to pull out the job details. We don't keep a copy. • The extension has no ads, analytics or tracking.
