Overview
AI Assistant for Canvas — describe a page, quiz or module, and Course++ builds it in your course.
Course++ builds real course content inside Canvas (pages, assignments, quizzes, discussions and whole modules) in the course you already have open. You describe what you want in a sentence. It builds it, reads back what it wrote to confirm it landed, and shows you a list of exactly what changed. WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES • Builds a page, an assignment, a quiz, a discussion or a full module from a plain description • Sets due dates, point values, rubrics and module ordering • Rewrites or restructures content that is already there • Generates images for a page, with real alt text written for them • Builds a self-contained slide deck and stores it in your course files • Checks every link in a course and tells you which are dead • Keeps a revision history, so a build can be undone NOTHING TO INSTALL ON YOUR SCHOOL'S SYSTEM Course++ works through the Canvas session already open in your browser. There is no API token to generate, no integration to enable, and no request to submit to whoever administers Canvas at your institution. Install it, open a course you teach, and it is ready. IT CANNOT READ STUDENT RECORDS This is built into the software, not promised in a policy. A list of 33 Canvas address patterns (grades, rosters, enrollments, submissions, quiz responses, discussion replies, analytics, the Canvas inbox) is checked before a request is ever constructed, so the request is never made. No setting in the product can switch that off. Course++ does not grade student work, and it is not a grading tool. What it reads is the content you as the instructor create and manage: pages, assignments, quizzes, modules, discussion topics, files, the syllabus and course settings. That content is sent to an AI model to do what you asked, after personal data that can appear in ordinary course content — email addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers, names on user records — is stripped out first. Full detail, including the limits we are honest about: https://courseplusplus.com/privacy-policy https://courseplusplus.com/what-it-can-see WHAT IT WILL NOT DO • It will not change anything without showing you first, for anything destructive • It cannot publish your course or change course settings • It writes only into the course you have open — never across courses PRICING Start with 250 free credits, which is enough to build several full modules and see whether this is useful to you. They expire 30 days after you get them. After that: $19/month for 500 credits a month, or $189/year. One credit is one cent of AI usage, billed at what it actually cost — there is no markup on the model. Credits you buy outright never expire and survive cancelling. Cancelling takes one click from inside the extension. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING AI output can be confidently wrong. Course++ reads back everything it writes and shows you what changed, but you are the one publishing it to students — check it first. It is currently built and tested for Chrome, on Canvas (*.instructure.com). Firefox, Edge and Safari versions are planned, not shipped. Course++ is a product of CoursePlusPlus LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instructure, Inc. Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc. Support: support@courseplusplus.com
