Reading the news? Counterpoint finds coverage of the same story from an outlet on the other side of the spectrum.

Most of us read the news from the outlets we already agree with. Counterpoint makes it easy to step outside that. Open a news article, click the Counterpoint icon, and it finds recent articles on the same story from outlets on the other side of the political spectrum. Read The New York Times and you get coverage from The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business or the New York Post. Read Fox News and you get The Washington Post, NPR or The Guardian. Each result links straight to the article. - 110+ outlets across the spectrum, from Left to Right, including wire services and centrist outlets - Prefers recent articles and shows their publication dates - Only suggests outlets that actually covered the story, and keeps looking until it finds good matches - Editable search terms if you want to refine a result - Choose which outlets you want included or excluded - Centrist or unrecognized sources get options from both sides Counterpoint doesn't tell you what to think. It just puts the other side's coverage one click away. Outlet ratings are approximate overall leans based on commonly cited media-bias ratings, not judgments about any individual article. Privacy: no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no Counterpoint servers. When you open the popup, keywords from the article's headline (not the page URL, and nothing that identifies you) are sent to Google News to find matching articles.
