Real-time synchronized video playback and chat.

Watch videos together in a shared Couch room. Create a room or join with a code, synchronize play, pause, and seeking, and chat while you watch. Click the Couch toolbar button on a video page to open the room panel. DATA SHARING: When you use a room, Couch sends your chosen username, room code, chat messages, playback actions and positions, video title, and video source URL to the Couch server, hosted by Render. Other room participants can see usernames, messages, playback activity, and video titles; the source URL is sent to the server but is not shown to participants. Chat messages, usernames, room codes, and temporary connection identifiers appear in service logs, available in Render’s log explorer for up to 7 days. Room data is held in memory and scheduled for deletion 60 seconds after the room becomes empty. Your username and room code are stored locally by Chrome.
