Cosmello Kiosk Verifier This extension provides cryptographic verification that a Chromebook is running in kiosk mode, enabling secure online assessments on the Cosmello educational platform. What it does: - Verifies kiosk mode using Google's Verified Access API - Signs cryptographic challenges using the device's TPM (Trusted Platform Module) - Provides hardware-backed proof that cannot be spoofed or faked Why it's needed: Students taking tests on Cosmello must be in kiosk mode to prevent access to other apps, browser tabs, or system features during assessments. This extension provides unforgeable verification that the device is actually locked down. For Schools and IT Administrators: This extension is designed to be force-installed via Google Admin Console on managed Chromebooks. It works alongside the Cosmello kiosk app to ensure academic integrity during online tests and exams. Requirements: - Managed Chromebook enrolled in Chrome Enterprise or Education - Force-installed via Google Admin Console - Verified Access enabled in Admin Console - Cosmello kiosk app configured Privacy: This extension only communicates with Cosmello servers (cosmello.com) and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It solely verifies the device's kiosk mode status when requested during assignment or lockdown sessions.
