The photo shows a corn plant in the stage of forming cobs (young cobs, covered by a green husk): The corn plant grows upright, 1.5 - 2.5 meters high. The stem is large, round and hard, with many joints. On the stem grow many young cobs covered by green bracts, the cob tips have brown corn silk protruding. The leaves are long, lanceolate, with slightly rough edges, dark green. Around is a corn field, the plants are all growing strongly, in neat rows, the soil is loose, and free of weeds.
