Copy Unlock restores copy, paste, text selection, and the right-click menu on websites that block them. News sites, docs, study portals, and web apps often disable highlighting, swallow Ctrl+C or Cmd+C, and hide the context menu. Copy Unlock turns those restrictions off in one click, on the current site or on every site. KEY FEATURES • Enable copy and paste — lets Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, and Ctrl+X (Command on Mac) work again when a page cancels copy, cut, or paste. • Unblock right-click — brings back the browser context menu for copy, translate, save image, and inspect. • Restore text selection — overrides CSS user-select: none on the page, including open shadow roots, so you can highlight text. • Clean copy — stops sites from appending “Read more at…” links or extra footer text to your clipboard. • Per-site control — run on every site, only on a list, or on every site except a list. Toggle the open site from the popup or the context menu. • Keyboard shortcut — Ctrl+Shift+U on Windows and Linux, Command+Shift+U on Mac. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the popup and leave Copy Unlock on. 2. Visit a page that blocks copying. Highlight text and copy it as usual. 3. Turn the current site off if you want that page to keep its own restrictions. 4. Open settings to choose every site, an allow list, or a block list. Copy Unlock runs locally in your browser. Settings and site rules stay in chrome.storage.local on your device. The extension does not include analytics, ads, or an account, and it does not send page content to a server.
