Start in Dry Run mode to preview the orders the extension would place. Once you've verified your account settings, contract selection, and sizing, you can switch to Live mode. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your Tradovate login credentials and session token are not sent to the copy-trading relay. Follower orders are placed using the follower's own logged-in Tradovate session. Followers see the account names you choose to share, not your actual account numbers. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is it really free? Yes. No subscription, no trial, no separate copier platform. Can I copy between different prop firms? Yes. Open each prop firm's Tradovate login in its own Chrome tab: one tab leads, the others follow. For example, lead on Lucid Trading and follow on TakeProfitTrader. Can I copy between two accounts in the same Tradovate login? Not yet. Each Tradovate login is either a leader or a follower, so the leader and follower accounts need to be in different logins. Does it work on live (real-money) accounts? Live copying currently works on Tradovate demo sessions, which include simulation and most prop-firm evaluation accounts. Dry Run works everywhere. Are trades placed from TradingView or the Tradovate mobile app copied? Not yet. Trades are copied when the leader places them in the Tradovate web trader tab running the extension. Support for outside orders is planned. Can I trade a different contract than the leader, like NQ instead of MNQ? Yes. Choose the contract under Trade. Stops and targets are copied when both contracts are in the same market (for example MNQ and NQ); for a different market, only market orders without a stop or target are copied. What happens if I connect while the leader is already in a trade? That trade is skipped. Copying starts with the leader's next trade, once they are flat. Do I need to keep the side panel open? No. Only the Tradovate tabs need to stay open, and they can run in the background. Add trader.tradovate.com to "Always keep these sites active" in Chrome's performance settings so Chrome never puts them to sleep. What if my internet drops? Leaders send queued signals when they reconnect. Followers catch up on what they missed, but never chase an entry that arrives more than 30 seconds late. Will followers see my account numbers? No. Followers only see the account names you choose to share. How do I stop someone from following me? Generate a new leader code. Everyone using the old code is disconnected immediately. Is copy trading allowed by my prop firm? Check your firm's rules. Many allow copying between your own accounts but restrict copying another person's trades.
