Copy HTML Tables reads the table directly from the page structure and writes a properly formatted CSV file that opens perfectly in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, Apple Numbers, and any other spreadsheet or data tool. HOW IT WORKS There are two easy ways to grab a table: 1. Click the extension icon in your toolbar, press "Download table as CSV", and then click on the table you want on the current page. Your cursor changes to a crosshair so you always know that selection mode is active. 2. Right-click anywhere inside a table and choose "Copy HTML Table as CSV" from the context menu. The extension finds the surrounding table automatically. In both cases you are asked for a file name (the table's own ID is suggested when one exists), and the file downloads straight to your computer. If you click somewhere that is not a table, a friendly message lets you know so you can simply try again.
