Copy Google Doc Comments for LLMs
Overview
Adds a Copy Comments button to Google Docs that copies every comment, with surrounding context, as markdown.
Reading review feedback in a Google Doc is fast. Getting it out of the doc is not. This adds a "Copy Comments" button next to Share. One click puts every comment thread on your clipboard as markdown, each one quoted with the passage it was left on, so an LLM knows what the comment refers to without you explaining. What you get: - Every comment in the document, in order - The surrounding sentence or two for each one, so the anchor is unambiguous - Markdown formatting that pastes cleanly into Claude, ChatGPT, or a text editor How it works: The button asks Google Docs for the document's own plain-text export — the same export you get from File > Download — and reads the comments out of it. Nothing is sent anywhere. There is no account to connect, no sign-in, and no server. Everything happens in your browser, and the result goes to your clipboard. Open a document, click Copy Comments, paste.
