Copy element text with a modifier and click, collect multiple selections, paste with the same modifier, select link text, and restore copying on restrictive websites. Copy Genius adds practical text-selection and clipboard tools directly to regular web pages. All text processing, selection handling, clipboard operations, and temporary Quick-Paste content remain inside your browser. ✨ FEATURES ⚡ Quick Copy — hold Alt, Ctrl, or Shift and click an element to copy its visible or accessible text 📥 Quick Paste — press and release the same configurable modifier to paste the most recently captured text into the focused field 1️⃣ One-time paste — optionally clear the temporary Quick-Paste content after it has been inserted ♻️ Replace content — optionally replace the complete contents of the focused input instead of inserting at the cursor 👁️ Copy feedback — display a brief, color-matched preview of the copied content 🧩 Multiple selections — collect several text passages or links and copy them together ⌨️ Flexible collection — gather selections with Ctrl or enable collection without holding a modifier ↩️ Selection controls — remove the last collected selection with Ctrl+Z or clear everything with Escape 🔗 Link-text selection — select text inside links without immediately activating them 🚚 Link drag support — drag selected links as URLs for tab managers and other compatible drop targets 📝 Configurable link output — copy selected links as visible text or as their destination URLs 📐 Custom separators — combine selections using new lines, spaces, commas, bullets, or a numbered list 🏷️ Status counter — optionally display the number of collected selections on the extension icon 🔓 Unlock protected content — restore text selection, copying, pasting, and the context menu on websites that block them 🎨 Custom highlight color — choose presets, enter a color code, adjust hue, saturation, and brightness, or sample a color from the current page 🌗 Light and dark themes — follow the system automatically or select a theme manually ⏻ Master switch — temporarily disable every Copy Genius feature from the popup ⚡ Focused and private — no advertisements, accounts, analytics, or tracking 🔐 PERMISSION REQUIREMENTS These permissions are required for its core features: • Access websites — allows Copy Genius to provide element copying, Quick Paste, multiple selections, link-text selection, drag support, and optional copy-protection removal on regular HTTP and HTTPS pages, including embedded frames. • Access the active tab — communicates with the current page and captures its visible area locally when you use the optional color eyedropper. • Clipboard access — writes copied element text, collected selections, or link URLs to your clipboard. • Storage — saves feature preferences, theme and color settings using Chrome storage and temporarily holds Quick-Paste content for the current browser session. Copy Genius requires website access because its features interact directly with page elements and input fields. It does not use that access to send page content or browsing information anywhere. 🛡️ PRIVACY Copy Genius does not collect or transmit personal data, browsing activity, copied text, selected content, clipboard data, screenshots, Quick-Paste content, or settings to the developer or third parties. Copied and selected content is processed locally. Quick-Paste content is held temporarily in Chrome’s session storage, and the optional eyedropper screenshot is used only inside the browser for color selection. The extension contains no advertising, analytics, tracking services, user accounts, or remotely executed code. The developer has no access to information processed by Copy Genius.
