Overview

Copy any HTML table from a webpage to the clipboard as CSV format.

Modern knowledge workers spend surprising amounts of time coaxing data out of web pages. A quarterly earnings table on an investor-relations site, a pricing matrix in an e-commerce admin panel, or the results grid from a government portal all look neat on-screen—but try to copy them into Excel or Google Sheets and the structure collapses. Column boundaries vanish, numeric text becomes wrapped HTML, and hidden characters sabotage formulas. Copy as CSV eliminates that friction. With a single click or keyboard shortcut it turns the table under your cursor into clean, comma-separated (or tab-separated) text that can be pasted directly into any spreadsheet, database, or plain-text tool without post-processing. Core features at a glance Feature One-click / hotkey copy Press Ctrl / ⌘ + Shift + C or click the icon; the extension highlights the nearest <table> and copies it instantly. CSV / TSV toggle Tap Tab while in selection mode to switch delimiters. CSV is ideal for spreadsheets; TSV is perfect for text editors or scripts. Zero-configuration extraction The script automatically detects cell spans, trims whitespace, and escapes quotes so the output is analysis-ready. Tangible benefits for everyday workflows Time saved on every copy-paste – Manual selection, right-click menus, and reformatting can take 30-60 seconds per table; Copy as CSV reduces that to under two seconds. Multiply by dozens of tables a week and the extension pays for itself in the first hour. Error-free data – Because the extension serialises the DOM programmatically, it never misses hidden rows, trailing zeros, or multi-row headers that humans overlook. Clean input means fewer downstream spreadsheet errors. Consistent across sites – Whether a table is generated by React, Angular, or plain HTML, the extraction logic is the same. Users don’t need separate scrapers for different web apps. Keyboard-centric workflow – Power users can keep their hands on the keyboard, using the shortcut to copy, Ctrl + V to paste, and Esc to exit—all without touching the mouse after activation.
