TidyTab does two small things so you can get on with reading. COOKIE BANNERS Decide once, in the extension, what should happen when a cookie banner appears. Reject all, Necessary only, Accept all, ask me each time, or just hide it. From then on TidyTab carries that decision out for you, so you are not stopped and asked again on every site you open. When a consent notice shows up, TidyTab finds the reject option and clicks it. Then it checks whether the banner actually went away. If the click did nothing, it drops to the next option and tries again, and it keeps going until the thing is gone. A lot of sites don't offer a reject button at all. Others bury it one screen deeper, behind "Manage settings". TidyTab opens that panel, looks for the reject in there, and if there still isn't one, switches every optional toggle off and saves. Strictly necessary toggles are left alone. Only when none of that works will it fall back to accepting, and you can switch that fallback off if you'd rather the banner was simply hidden. Buttons are matched by what they mean, not by a list of site names, across more than 30 languages. So a banner in Warsaw gets handled the same way as one in Toronto. A READING VIEW Press Alt+R, or click the toolbar icon, and the page collapses to the article itself. No navigation, no sidebars, no share rail, no newsletter box. Theme, font, text size, column width and line height are all yours to set. The original page sits untouched underneath, so switching it off puts everything back straight away. It's manual by default, which means it won't surprise you in the middle of a web app. PRIVACY No account, no analytics, no server. TidyTab makes no network requests at all. Your settings live in Chrome's own storage, and a short local record of what TidyTab did, on which site, stays on your machine so the popup can tell you what happened. Clear it whenever you want. WHAT IT WON'T DO TidyTab doesn't get around paywalls, login walls or age gates. If dismissing the banner is what unlocks the content, that's access control, not a cookie preference, and TidyTab leaves it be.
