Cookie Permission
Overview
Asks before a site can store cookies, the same way the browser asks for notifications.
Cookie Permission makes cookies work like every other site permission. Browsers already ask before a site can send notifications or use your location. With Cookie Permission, you get the same kind of prompt for cookies: when a site you visit tries to store cookies, a small bubble asks what you want to do. - Allow: the site can store cookies. - Allow until browser closes: cookies are kept for this session only. - Block: the site can't store cookies. Your choice applies to the whole site, including its subdomains (for example, example.com and accounts.example.com), and is saved as a regular browser cookie rule. You can change it anytime by clicking the extension icon, or choose "Forget my choice for this site" to be asked again next time. HOW TO USE 1. In your browser settings, block cookies by default (Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies / Site settings > On-device site data. Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions). 2. Browse as usual. When a site wants to store cookies, choose what to allow. 3. A red "?" on the extension icon means the current site is waiting for your decision. GOOD TO KNOW - The prompt appears when a site sets cookies from its own server. If a site only stores data through scripts, click the extension icon to set its permission yourself. - Third-party cookies are not handled by the prompt; only the site in the address bar is asked about. - Rules set by the extension are removed if you uninstall or disable it. - Microsoft Edge: the cookie exceptions list in Edge's settings may not update until you restart the browser. Your choice still takes effect immediately. PRIVACY Cookie Permission collects no data. Your choices are stored only on your device and never leave it. There are no analytics, no accounts and no remote servers.
