Convertex turns a file into another format without it ever leaving your computer. Open the side panel and drop a file. Convertex detects what the file really is, then shows every format it can become. Pick one and the converted file is downloaded right away. It handles 85 formats, for example turning a photo into a JPG or a Word document into a PDF. Convertex is built on a conversion graph. When there is no direct conversion between two formats, it finds the shortest chain of steps and shows it to you before converting. The Graph tab lets you explore every path available from your file. Everything runs locally. The conversion engines are bundled with the extension and run inside your browser with WebAssembly. Convertex cannot contact any server, so your files stay private.
