Conversation to Markdown saves the ChatGPT conversation you are reading as a clean Markdown document — headings, lists, tables, links, and code blocks intact. LONG CONVERSATIONS EXPORT IN FULL ChatGPT keeps only part of a long chat in the page at any moment, so selecting everything by hand captures whatever happens to be rendered. This extension scrolls the conversation from top to bottom, collects each message as it appears, joins responses split across several blocks, and returns the page to where you left it. IMAGES SAVED ALONGSIDE THE TEXT Tick the save checkbox and the extension writes the conversation to your Downloads folder together with every image it references, rewriting the links to the local copies so the document reads offline. SENSIBLE FILE NAMES Files are named after the conversation itself rather than a generic "conversation.md", and images inherit that name with a sequence number, so exports from different chats never collide. Non-Latin titles are preserved. LOCAL ONLY Everything runs in your browser. There is no server, no account, no telemetry, and no storage. The conversation goes to your clipboard and, if you ask for it, to your Downloads folder. Nothing else leaves the machine. HOW TO USE 1. Open a conversation on chatgpt.com. 2. Click the extension icon. 3. Press "Copy as Markdown" — tick the checkbox first if you also want the file and its images saved. Open source under the MIT License.
