Almost perfect. Only one minor issue: the controls stay visible at first when the video starts playing. Pausing and resuming the video fixes this but it's not a pleasant workaround.

Can't believe YouTube's UI team goes around changing things that don't need to be and totally miss out having basic freaking playback controls. Unbelievable I need to get an extension just to rewind a couple seconds.

Useful app. Though it's bugging the youtube UI a bit, like the shorts will sometimes start small and then enlarge, or the total short time length is longer than its actual value (shows 1 min short but is actually 20s short)

YouTube needs this. It should be built in.

I am recently having a issue where clicking a short video will not pause the video. It will receive it as a double click, so it continuous playing. Same when the video is on pause, it will continue being paused after playing very briefly. The problem goes away when I disable this extension. Can we have a fix for it?

You have no idea how much I loath using Youtube shorts or any video service that does not show controls. Give users more power, more control and more options, not less. The power of happy users is far more beneficial than bored or annoyed users. Happy users use your tools to create.
